Victoria Marston is an embroiderer on the Massachusetts tapestry panel. A resident of Marshfield, MA, she has been stitching for over 50 years. Having learned embroidery through her grandmother, Victoria has practiced cross stitch/canvaswork, counted work, gold work, and surface embroidery, among others. While working on the panel, Victoria has utilized satin, stem, outline, blanket stitch, French knots, and diagonal woven - the latter a new skill she has learned. Having spent nearly her entire life in Massachusetts, Victoria learned about the project through her needlework organization the Mayflower Sampler Guild. Looking towards America's 250th anniversary, Victoria hopes our nation continues to fulfill the promises of the Revolution.
