Stitchers

Tisha Dolton is an embroiderer on the New York tapestry panel. A resident of Glen Falls, she has been stitching for over 20 years. As a self-taught embroiderer, Tisha has practiced surface embroidery including crewel and raised embroidery. While working on the panel, Tisha has utilized the backstitch & long and short stitch. As a public historian who focuses on local New York suffragists and with a love of embroidery, Tisha was enthusiastic to join our project. While working on the state panel, she has been interested to learn more about the Birch Trials, which are depicted within the embroidery.
