Stitchers

Pat Hanlon is an embroiderer on the Connecticut tapestry panel. A resident of West Hartford, Connecticut for 35 years, she has been stitching for over 30 years after learning from a friend. Prior to joining America's Tapestry, Pat practiced cross stitch, quilting including piecework and applique, surface embroidery including crewel, knitting, and crochet.

While working on the panel, Pat has utilized the satin stitch and French knots. She was inspired to join the project by her love of colonial history and how the colonists fought for liberty. Since joining, Pat has learned that brothers fought against each other during the Revolution.
