Stitchers

Laura Morrison is an embroiderer on the New Hampshire tapestry panel. A resident of Concord, New Hampshire, she has been stitching for over 30 years and is self-taught. Prior to joining America's Tapestry, Laura practiced cross stitch, surface embroidery including crewel, knitting, and crochet.

While working on the panel, Laura has utilized the running stitch, buttonhole, satin, and split stitch. The buttonhole stitch was new to her through the project. A contemporary fiber artist, Laura was impressed by the project leader's expertise and wanted to learn more. Since joining, she has learned a lot about the Abenaki tribe.
