Stitchers

Ginger Iorizzo is an embroiderer on the New York tapestry panel. A resident of Niskayuna, she has been stitching for over 50 years. Self taught, Ginger has practiced cross stitch, canvaswork/needlepoint, and pulled/drawn thread embroidery. While working on the panel, Ginger has utilized the tent stitch and back stitch. Ginger loves that the tapestries represent lesser known stories and she feels like she is contributing to preserving history. She particularly enjoyed learning about the Birch Trials, the theme of the New York Panel. As our nation celebrates its 250th anniversary, Ginger hopes that we can put aside our political differences and join together in peace to celebrate the founding of our great country.
