Stitchers

Erin Lien is an embroiderer on the Connecticut tapestry panel. A resident of Windsor, she has been stitching for over 40 years. Having learned embroidery through her grandmother, Erin has practiced beading, goldwork or other metal threads, quilting, surface embroidery, and silk ribbon embroidery. While working on the panel, Erin has utilized the split stitch and stem stitch. Inspired to join America's Tapestry to be part of a community-wide effort, Erin has enjoyed learning about many of the Connecticut industries that supported the war effort. As our nation approaches 250 years of independence, Erin hopes that we celebrate the diversity that has made our country a beacon of hope.
