Seton Hill University Arts Center

America's Tapestry comes to the Seton Hill University Arts Center in Greensburg, Pennsylvania, where it is open to the public in the Harlan Gallery from September 14 to 27, 2026. It is one of the early stops on a national tour that opened at the Muscarelle Museum of Art at William & Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia, in June 2026, and that will carry all thirteen needlework panels through the original colonies over the coming years. Each panel tells the story of one colony and its road to independence — the work of some two thousand volunteer stitchers, made to mark the nation's 250th anniversary.

The exhibition finds a natural home at the Arts Center, a striking "factory for the arts" built on a reclaimed industrial site in downtown Greensburg, its studios and galleries opening onto Main Street through walls of glass. Seton Hill University is more than a host: it is the project's nonprofit managing partner and a principal supporter. For that reason the Pennsylvania stop carries the feeling of a homecoming — a chance to see the panels gathered where their long journey is meant, in time, to rest.
