Stitchers

Martha Cauthen is an embroiderer on the Delaware tapestry panel. A resident of Smyrna, she has been stitching for over 50 years. Having learned embroidery while at home, Martha has practiced many techniques including beading, cross stitch, pulled or drawn thread embroidery, and quilting, among others. While working on the panel, Martha has utilized cross stitch over four. She decided to join America's Tapestry out of a desire to contribute and support the project. Looking towards our nation's anniversary, Martha hopes for civility, peace, and kindness.
